With sadness it was time to leave Bryce and head for home. The "home" part sounded great as we were looking forward to our regular sized kitchen, bathroom and bed, but we were going to miss our travel adventures. We were still over 1000 miles from Issaquah so we decided to break it up with one long 12 hour day and then two ~4 hour days. That meant we stayed near Boise the first night and Walla Walla for the second night where we could celebrate Clint's birthday.

Arriving Mountain Home, ID. The overnight stay was perfect for a late arrival, sleep, morning birthday celebration and the prep to leave. We are much more very efficient now but it is never a fast departure!

A birthday muffin! And yes that is Liz's laptop...

A quick 4.5 hours and voila we in Walla Walla, Wa!

We found a great Harvest Host at Burwood Brewery just outside of town. We met a couple from Richland who were just retiring and testing out their new rig. Lots of great conversation and an early evening as we needed to be on the road to meet up with Clay in North Bend at 3pm the next day.

We made it to North Bend and had a fun round of Disk Golf with Clay and the Trinneer family, and of course Jasper.

We arrived Home Sweet Home after a fun pizza dinner at Flying Pie and grocery shopping. What a great way to end the trip and ease back into real life! We were welcomed by a fun note on our whiteboard from our niece Amelia who had been checking in on our house and feeding our birds while we were away! In all the trip was only 32 miles shy of 6000 miles, 1000s of photos, hours of audio book listening, and endless memories.

See AllWe arrived in San Diego on the 14th day of our trip, and one of the things we really wanted to do was the Zoo. We have mixed feelings...
HOME SWEET HOME! Always great to see the signs and breath the air of home. Great trip! Enough photos to reminisce before another trip. 👍
