Desert Hot Springs - Sam's Family Spa

We needed a change after 8 Days in in JTNP to get real showers, propane, a battery charge and empty the RV tanks. We found that we could check in a day early and relax at Sam's Family Spa, a quirky hot springs RV/Mobile home resort and community.

The little funky resort was what we needed and the hot springs pools felt so good after all the desert camping and hiking.

Oh and we did a great hike and got a lot of exercise during a visit to the Coachella Palm Reserve. (Pro tip...don't follow the signs for the Hidden Palms hike! After 3 miles of walking in the sand we called an Uber to bring us back to the actual hike, 🤣

Visiting Coachella Palms Reserve is a must! Just make sure you have a good trail map. 😁

We saw a Greater Roadrunner (Beep! Beep!) in our campsite! On our second day we enjoyed a great Mexican dinner in downtown Palm Springs, and an evening soak.
