We just spent almost a week along the SLO Coast (San Luis Obispo) in Central California. What an amazing find. We were so fortunate to find a beach-front camping site at Port San Luis Harbor, just down the road from Avila Beach. We day-tripped to Pismo Beach for food and shopping and saw the Monarch butterflies that are wintering over there. Liz kayaked out to watch the sea otters and see a historic lighthouse, and we both enjoyed working from our beach front "offices"!

This odd site that we added to our adventure at the last minute ended up being our home for 4 nights and was wonderful After that we traveled up the hill to regenerate and do some laundry at Flying Flags Avila Beach RV park. Now we know what an all-inclusive RV site is. Very happy to be able to get ready for our next part of our journey.

And this is the view that we had when doing our laundry

A day at the San Diego Zoo

We arrived in San Diego on the 14th day of our trip, and one of the things we really wanted to do was the Zoo. We have mixed feelings...
